Morgan DeBaun wants you to take control and become the CEO of your life.

DeBaun carries over a decade of experience and has achieved remarkable feats throughout her career. Her journey into business started at just 13 years old when she began investing in the stock market. She later became a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in political science and entrepreneurship. By 2014, she blossomed into a founder, CEO, and chairman of Blavity Inc., a global corporation prioritizing product solutions and media for Black Millennial and Gen Z consumers as well as businesses and organizations focused on reaching this audience.

DeBaun became one of the few Black woman founders to secure $1 million in funding when she was 25 years old. Blavity Inc. has since continued to raise additional capital, and she successfully completed three acquisitions and integrations, two under the age of 24 within 18 months, with the most recent being RNB House Party, which is now Blavity House Party, in November 2023.

In addition to Blavity House Party, Blavity Inc. currently houses brands like Blavity, AFROTECH™, 21Ninety, Travel Noire, Home & Texture, and Shadow & Act. Collectively, over 100 million consumers are reached monthly as a result of these portfolio companies.

Other impact areas that have been spawned through DeBaun’s leadership include SaaS product Talent Infusion, plus Blavity Fest and the AFROTECH™ Conference, the largest conference for Black technologists, which returns to Houston, TX, this year, running Oct. 27-31.

‘Rewrite Your Rules’

DeBaun is leading a corporation with over $40 million in revenue and continues to stretch herself in other areas, such as launching a matcha company (Mor Matcha) and now becoming the author of “Rewrite Your Rules,” a book that will challenge readers to reimage the status quo. It contains a three-part framework: Master Yourself, Master Your Method, and Master Your Growth.

She will debunk current myths around career trajectory, personal relationships, and daily routines, while providing solutions that will help you create structure in your day-to-day on your terms. This can apply to strategic decision-making, calculated risks, as well as your perspective on time and money.

At the book’s conclusion, readers can better understand how to create a life that brings fulfillment, both personally and financially, as ultimately the book is designed to help you unlock your full potential and reach your aspirations.

You can meet DeBaun as she embarks on a five-city tour, stopping in Los Angeles, CA; Houston, TX; St. Louis, MO; and New Orleans, LA.
