Kanye West’s quest to open stores in Yeezy is being backed by Young Thug.
As AfroTech just told you, West shared on Instagram that he had plans to open Yeezy stores globally, beginning first with Atlanta, GA.
“We are going to open a Yeezy stores worldwide starting in Atlanta,” West wrote in an iPhone Note posted on Instagram that has now been deleted. “Who would be best to open it? I’ll buy the land and or building. Then we gonna open up in every state and then internationally. Anyone who has over 10 years retail experience and is ready to change the world post your Instagram handle or store location in the comments and we’ll find you.”
Young Thug Offers 100 Acres
West immediately received support from industry peers including 2 Chainz and Pusha T. Young Thug later chimed in with a special offer revealing West is welcome to use however much of land from his 100 acres in Georgia for the future Yeezy store. What’s more, West wouldn’t even have to put down a dime.
“@KanyeWest I got over 100 acres,” Thugger wrote on his Instagram Stories. “However many you need they’re yours free of charge. On GOD.”
adidas And Gap
While sharing his plans to open Yeezy stores worldwide, the rapper exposed adidas and Gap for allegedly not adhering to their contractual obligations.
“I signed with both adidas and Gap because it contractually stated they would build permanent stores which neither company has done even though I saved both of those companies at the same time,” West shared on Instagram. “Ima show you how to use social media.”
"I Will Not Back Down On My Businesses"
This morning, West expounded upon his concerns with the major retailers, claiming they had meetings and released products without informing him.
“Here is the through line. Gap having meetings about me without. me. Adidas releasing old shoes and coloring my shoes,” he said in the post.
He added: “Call me whatever names you want. If you don’t understand why I will not back down on my businesses my brands and my children then you’re the ones who are crazy.”
