Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Buys Pro Football League For $15M

Looks like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has more in common with his ambitious “Ballers” character, Spencer Strasmore than viewers thought. Announced Monday, an investor group — that includes the former WWE wrestler — has purchased the XFL for about $15 million, according to ESPN . The professional league, previously owned by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, has had some difficulty finding a new owner after filing for bankruptcy earlier this year. Although scheduled for auction, Johnson along with his business partner — Dany Garcia and RedBird Capital Partners — have acquired the XFL.
