Megan Thee Stallion, Fashion Nova Cares Donate $25K to HBCU in Efforts to Support Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Megan Thee Stallion and Fashion Nova continue to give back through the nonprofit leg of the leading e-commerce fashion lifestyle brand, Fashion Nova Cares, reports Black Enterprise. This time, they’re donating $25,000 to North Carolina-based HBCU, Bennett College. In honor of this past Women’s History Month, the funds will go toward Bennett’s Center for Entrepreneurial Studies to support and encourage future initiatives among students. “What a time to be a woman, specifically a Black woman,” said Suzanne E. Megan Thee Stallion is partnering with Fashion Nova to help women get paid all month long. According to PR Newswire, “Women On Top” focuses on women empowerment through the donation of funds that will help support female-focused charities and organizations, education, women-owned businesses, and other inspirational women doing great things. Fashion Nova Cares will highlight the various entrepreneurs, organizations, and women who are preselected to receive $25,000 or more for a grand total of $1,000,000. “At Fashion Nova, women empowerment and ongoing advocacy for diversity and inclusion have always been part of our guiding principles,” said Richard Saghian , founder and CEO of Fashion Nova in the news release. “We believe the world will be a better place when all women are provided the opportunity to maximize their potential. According to a report from TMZ, Megan’s 106-piece collection brought in $1.2 million in sales during its first day, slightly edging out Cardi B’s 2019 Spring collection which quickly sold out. The report also shared that following the huge success from Cardi B’s collection, Fashion Nova anticipated a lot more orders and made sure to have more product on standby. Fashion Nova Files Lawsuit Against Tekashi 6ix9ine for $2.25M

Even when it comes to promoting brands on social media, a contract is still a contract. Tekashi 6ix9ine is the latest celebrity to get taught that lesson. In addition to his 2018 arrest for racketeering and firearm possession, 6ix9ine can now add a Fashion Nova lawsuit to his legal woes. According to Complex, the fashion retailer is filing a lawsuit against 6ix9ine for failing to promote their brand. Allegedly, 6ix9ine received a $225,000 advance and agreed to promote the company via social media and in his music. The fashion store is seeking $2.25 million for the unfulfilled agreement between the two parties made in October 2018. Just two weeks after 6ix9ine received the advance, he was arrested and jailed making it impossible for him to follow through with the agreement and promote Fashion Nova. However, Fashion Nova doesn’t seem to care about the rapper’s legal battles. The company says they were unaware of his criminal background and 6ix9ine’s team did not communicate with them...
