Black women entrepreneurs have been the blueprint to starting successful independent businesses, as they are the largest female minority group of business owners, according to Business News Daily.
Among those many Black women entrepreneurs is serial businesswoman and social media influencer Tere Tatiana. Tatiana, a Georgia native with several business ventures, is a multi-faceted entrepreneur who operates four of her own businesses — Labeled Blu Collections, Labeled Blu Realty, Labeled Blu Transportation, and Southern Hospitality Adult Daycare Facility.
Over the years, Tatiana saw how many people inquired about how to start their own trucking business. She later introduced a subsidiary of her company Labeled Blu Transportation to launch virtual trucking classes, a first-of-its-kind venture for a Black woman.
“After getting so many questions and having the same conversations over and over, I thought it’d be a great idea to just put my ideas and information in a “One Stop Shop” course,” she said.
Labeled Blu Transportation — a team of trained and professional trucking business owners — provides virtual trucking courses that offer students a thorough introduction to the trucking industry.
According to its website, these courses provide a step-by-step guide on how to begin and maintain a business, dealing with trucking fillings, requirements on the state and federal levels, and skills needed to succeed in this field.
“Through this platform, we find ourselves and of course you with a golden opportunity,” it shares, “to interact with keen masses and provide them with all the basic knowledge about this business of trucking, share our experiences and teach them skills.”
The flexibility of the online classes gives Tatiana and her company a chance to reach even more people during the pandemic. Her main goal for the virtual classes is to help other Black women gain valuable skills to become independent in the business world.
“As women, working in male-dominated industries, it can be tough,” she revealed. “So as a budding female entrepreneur, they are gaining the necessary skills & information to stand shoulder to shoulder with male counterparts.”
While Tatiana’s businesses have consistently grown, so has her following on social media. As a single mother juggling so many businesses, many of Tatiana’s followers have told her what an inspiration she’s been on their lives demonstrating grace through motherhood, body confidence, entrepreneurship, and living a healthy and fun lifestyle.
She’s been able to help dozens of women with her unique businesses and continues to encourage other aspiring Black women entrepreneurs to chase their dreams.
“Continue to focus on [your] goals and build a strong team,” she continued, “especially a strong social media presence.”
