Student Pass
Students and recent graduates interested—especially those interested in technology—are encouraged to attend the conference during its first three days. You’ll gain access to AFROTECH™ U, student programming stages, student receptions, keynotes, certifications, workshops, networking events, and the expo hall—connecting you with recruiters from top companies.
Mivette Garcia, a Morgan State University student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management, attended in 2024 and was sponsored by the Maryland Collective. It was her first out-of-state conference, and she had been looking to expand her knowledge of technology as a virtual beauty boutique founder since 2020.
“I made those connections with people in those technical fields, but I feel like I actually got more out of it,” she told AFROTECH™.
Premier Pass
Premier and executive pass holders will have an extra day of programming and access to keynotes, certifications, workshops, receptions, and networking events. Additional perks include access to the Founders’ Summit and Women’s Summit.
A premier pass offers valuable knowledge, employment, and networking opportunities for mid-career professionals looking to advance in their careers or strengthen their leadership skills.
Software Engineer Jovonne Cameron secured two interviews with an employer and landed a contract opportunity from her attendance in 2024.
“Originally, when I wanted to learn a little bit more about AI for my business, it was just more so to see how I can use it to serve smaller businesses…But also, in my career as a software engineer, it’s clear that we’re going into like a sector of specialization,” she said in a previous interview with AFROTECH™. “So, specializing in machine learning and AI was something I was always considered on the career front. It was when I got to the conference I realized, ‘Oh, this would be a great business move to learn a little bit more and see if I can implement what I learned at the conference in my business.’ It helped because I was able to talk to someone about getting contract work and working with them on their business to implement it and see how they can overall improve their operations,” she explained.
Visionary founders will also benefit from opportunities to learn about industry trends and what’s next. Connections sparked could potentially lead to your next mentor, investor, and client.
Executive Pass
Executive pass holders will be one of only two tiers granted seating at the Executive Stage. Additionally, this tier unlocks premium networking opportunities with industry leaders. These offerings are ideal for senior leaders and C-suite executives looking to stay ahead of industry trends, vet top talent, form partnerships, and connect with peers.
All Access
Lastly, all access passes will live up to their name. While it will have similar offerings to the executive tier, it is the only tier that grants access to five days of programming, priority seating, VIP lounges with refreshments and wellness resources, room blocks at premium hotels, skip-the-line entry, and reserved seating. This ticket also permits access to the Executive Stage line.
